Same-day emergency visits, Boise, Idaho
A broken tooth, a toothache that kept you up, a filling that fell out. Call before 3:30 pm on a weekday and Morrow Creek holds a same-day slot. Between emergencies, we are your general dentist.
What counts as an emergency
Not sure which one you have? Call anyway. We ask three questions and tell you whether to come in today.
Throbbing, sharp pain, or pain that wakes you up. It can come from decay, a crack or an infection, and only an exam tells which.
Read what to do 02Keep the pieces, rinse gently and call. A sharp edge can cut your tongue, and a crack can reach the nerve.
Read what to do 03The tooth under it is exposed and can hurt with cold or chewing. We rebuild it, usually in one visit.
Read what to do 04Bring the crown with you. A tooth without its crown can crack or decay quickly.
Read what to do 05Swelling on the gum or face can mean infection, and a knocked-out tooth has a short window. Call right away.

No waiting room mystery. This is what happens when you call Morrow Creek with a tooth problem on a weekday.
The front desk answers during office hours. The form on this page asks four things: your name, your number, what is going on, and when.
If you sent the form while we are open, someone rings you back inside 15 minutes. Outside hours, we call when we open: by 7:00 am on weekdays.
What happened, when it started, and whether there is swelling or a fever. Then we tell you what to do until you arrive, and what to avoid.
Call by 3:30 pm on a weekday and a held slot is yours. If both are taken, you get the soonest opening and a plan for the wait.
The dentist explains what is wrong, what we recommend and what it costs. The written estimate comes before any treatment.
And between emergencies
Most of what we do is quiet: check-ups, cleanings, fillings and crowns, with the same two dentists and one hygienist each visit. A regular exam is how a crack or a cavity gets found while it is still a small job instead of a Tuesday-night emergency.

The people
Two dentists and one hygienist, plus a front desk that knows your name by the second visit. Nine people in all, in a single-storey building on Hartwell Street.

Yes, when you call by 3:30 pm on a weekday. We hold two same-day slots every weekday for emergencies. If both are taken, we tell you the soonest opening and what to do until then. Saturday mornings from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm are for emergency visits only.
A toothache that will not settle, a broken or chipped tooth, a lost filling or crown, a tooth that was knocked out or is loose after an injury, and swelling or a bump on the gum. If you are not sure, call and describe it. We would rather you called.
Call and leave a message with your name and number. We return after-hours messages when the office opens, by 7:00 am on weekdays and 8:00 am on Saturday. For severe bleeding, a swollen face or throat, trouble breathing or a head injury, call 911 or go to an emergency room.
We do not list prices on this site. After the exam and before any treatment, you get a written estimate that shows what we recommend, what it costs and what your insurance is expected to cover. Third-party financing is available for larger treatment.
We work with most major PPO plans. Call with your plan name and member number and the front desk checks coverage before your visit. If you do not have insurance, you still get the same written estimate.
Yes. New patients usually start with an exam, X-rays when needed and a cleaning with Priya, our hygienist, and then see the same dentist each time. The first visit takes about an hour and a half.
